Using video marketing to drive traffic to your website and help convert that traffic into opt-ins for your email list or paying customers is becoming more popular all the time.

How Video Marketing Converts Traffic – 4 Tips

With a video, you can capture the visitor’s attention much more quickly than the written word. Combining a great written title with a great video allows you the best of both worlds.

Of course, as with all things, there are some important tips you need to keep in mind to capitalize on this trend.

  • 1. Your videos should be no more than 3 minutes long, ideally, 5 minutes max. It’s a sad truth, but many online surfers don’t have a long attention span.
  • 2. Do your keyword research. Find out which keywords are being used by prospective customers when searching for your product or service. Use those keywords in the tags and title of your video. Doing so will allow your video top billing in search engine results for those keywords, which means you’ll get more people watching, and if you’ve done it right, more visitors to your website.
  • 3. Whenever you are marketing, you have to test. You have to changes things (only one thing at a time so you can pinpoint what caused the change) and see which version produces the best results.

You could experiment with the title of the video, and then you might want to see if a shorter video works better, etc. This will allow you to find just the right combination and create a monster, traffic pulling the video.

  • 4. With any marketing, consistency is the name of the game. Don’t throw up a few videos and then move on to something else. Put up a string of informative, well-made videos consistently, and people will make a point of checking out what you have to say.

One word of caution, don’t mistake quantity with quality. It’s important to be consistent, but if the videos you are putting up don’t offer any real value to your subscriber or visitors, they will ‘change the channel.’ Offer them something that can benefit them.

And don’t forget to appeal to their emotions. Remember, people buy with emotion, but they justify it with logic. Whatever you are selling, don’t rely solely on facts and logic; that’s cold and doesn’t work. You need to provide some features of the product, but you also want to make it emotional.

So instead of just saying, “my dog training video will teach your dog to come when he is called,” add something like “so you can take him with you anywhere and spend more time with him without the embarrassment of having him run around out of control.”

That provides both the feature, teaching your dog to come when he is called, as well as the emotional benefit of that feature, not being embarrassed by an unruly dog.

Video marketing is an important tool in your marketing efforts. Take the time to tweak your results, and you could be sitting on a gold mine.

Internet Marketing Video Tutorials - Tips Of Value

As an internet marketer, there are many things you can do with internet marketing video tutorials. You can use them to drive traffic to your website, you can use them to learn new skills, and you can use them to provide your email list subscribers with some valuable information. Whether you choose one or all of the above, don’t ignore this powerful marketing tool.

To drive traffic to your site using videos, all you have to do is make a good, short video with keywords in the title, description, and tags of the videos. Once you’ve got the videos ready, you can submit them to various online sites that will help you get some great quality traffic to your site.

Once at your site, you can use another video to show people why they need to sign up for your email list. Make sure you include bullet points about what they’ll get when they sign up for your list.

List the benefits of what your email list will provide them with, what specific skills or tools will they have access to if they sign up? Make sure that you make it enticing, so they are more likely to sign up.

There are also many great places you can go to learn new skills yourself. The internet is always changing, so it’s important to keep up with all those changes. To do so, you can check out videos from others marketers.

When you start to make your video, there are a few things you need to keep in mind:

  • 1. Keep your video short. It’s important to keep them between 3 -5 minutes in length. Of course, this rule is for the driving traffic and opt-in email videos and not for the tutorials you provide for your list. Even with those, you don’t want them to be too long, but they can be longer than 5 minutes if needed.

If you have much information to cover, you’d be better off just breaking your videos down into smaller segments. It’s just easier for your subscribers to watch that way since they don’t have to take as much time, and it’s easier for them to digest the information you’re presenting.

  • 2. Don’t get carried away with graphics. If you have too much going on, you’ll only distract the viewer from your message. Instead, use the graphics to drive home your main message. Some simple screenshots or a PowerPoint presentation will be enough most of the time.

Make sure that the audio is clear and easy to understand. Don’t stammer and stutter. If you make a mistake, go back and do it over again. It’s usually helpful to make an overview or script before you start to follow along and make sure that you cover all the important points.

It’s cheap to use internet marketing video tutorials to help gain more knowledge, share some knowledge with others, or help drive some traffic to your site, so why not take advantage of it? Take the time to implement these techniques for yourself.

Email Video Marketing - Personal And Super Valuable

There are many ways you can use email video marketing to enhance your business. By building an email list, you can build rapport with the people on your list by teaching them some skills that will help them. Once you do that, you can make the occasional recommendation for a product or service that will benefit them, and they will be likely to buy.

Using video is an easy way to increase your response rate. People online are rather short of time and attention span. A good video will help grab their attention and hold on to it. If you make a series of good quality, short (3 -5 minutes) videos that will help them with some problem or issue that they have, you can gain their trust and respect, and they will stay on your list for a lot longer and even buy things from you on occasion.

Make sure that your videos are easy to understand. Don’t use a lot of jargon or big words; that isn’t the way to establish yourself as an expert, it will most likely just annoy people, and they will stop watching.

Instead, make sure that if you do use jargon, you explain what it means. Use these videos to educate people and not just as one long sales pitch. Use emotion to create a sense of urgency so they will buy from you.

Take this example, and if you are selling a diet aid, you can make a short video that explains why your diet aid is better than the others. Instead of making it boring and filled with many technical drug names, explain that your diet aid will help them look great at the beach this summer. Or that your diet aid will allow them to get the tight hot, abs they’ve always wanted.

Use emotional words that conjure up a positive mental picture. It’s ok to mention the facts but don’t get too caught up in the technical side of things. Always include plenty of ’emotion’ words. Emotion makes people make the purchase, and logic will give them a reason to justify it.

When making your video, don’t worry about making it perfect or think you have to have a flashy presentation. The less you have going on, the better. The video portion should only compliment the audio. Would you mind keeping it simple? You want people to focus on your message and not just some flashy graphics.

Do make sure that you speak slowly and clearly when you record your audio. If it helps, make a script to follow so you won’t forget to cover any important points. Don’t try to sound overly professional; just be yourself. Of course, that doesn’t mean you should be stammering or stuttering, but you can act as though you’re talking to your friends. Keep it casual and easy.

Use email video marketing to provide all the people on your email list with so much valuable and helpful information that they’d never consider hitting the ‘unsubscribe button. Give them what they need, and they’ll return the favor by buying the products you recommend. Using video makes the process better.
